Cmpus is your campus — the same people you sit next to in lectures. These guidelines keep it a place worth showing up to. Break them and content gets removed; break them repeatedly or badly and the account goes.
Real name, real college. No fake accounts, no impersonating classmates, professors, or clubs. One account per person.
Banter is campus culture — harassment is not. No bullying, threats, hate speech, or targeting someone because of their religion, caste, gender, sexuality, or background. If a joke needs a specific victim, it is not a joke.
Anonymous posting hides your name from other students — not from us, and not from the law. Every anonymous post is linked to the account that made it. Use anonymity to be honest, not to be cruel.
Never post someone's phone number, address, photos, chats, or personal details without their consent. This includes screenshots of private conversations. Instant removal, likely ban.
No nudity, sexual content, or gore. This is not the app for it.
No flooding feeds, chain messages, engagement bait, or unauthorised promotion. Campus businesses belong in the marketplace, not spammed into every thread.
Sharing notes is what Cmpus is for. Selling leaked exam papers or organised cheating is not, and will be reported to your institution where appropriate.
Sell only what is yours to sell and legal to sell. Listings are screened automatically before they go live, and these categories are banned outright:
Trying to route around the filter — creative spellings, code words, moving the deal to DMs — counts as a deliberate violation, not a clever workaround, and is treated more seriously than the original listing. Meet buyers in public campus spaces. Cmpus is a noticeboard, not a party to your deal: we do not handle payments or guarantee anything sold.
We do not read your private chats — no person and no automated system goes through them. That means reporting is how we find out something is wrong. If someone is harassing you, selling something illegal, or scaring you in a DM, report it: that is what lets us look at it and act. Screenshots help.
Every piece of content has a report option. Reports are reviewed quickly and reporters stay anonymous. Serious grievances go to our Grievance Officer, Gottumukkala Mokshit Rayudu — support@cmpus.app, acknowledged within 24 hours.
Cmpus is restricted to users 18 and older and does not knowingly serve minors. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers children in any form. Every piece of content can be reported directly in-app; reports are reviewed through our moderation pipeline — automated screening plus human review. Any account or content connected to CSAE is removed immediately and reported to the appropriate authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and Indian law enforcement, as legally required. Report concerns in-app or to support@cmpus.app — acknowledged within 48 hours.
First violation: content removed, warning. Repeat or serious violations: feature restrictions, suspension, or permanent ban. Illegal content: removed, preserved as evidence, and reported to authorities where required.
